The Murdoch Center Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to education, training, information dissemination, and professional development in the field of intellectual / developmental disabilities. The foundation raises funds to support service enhancement, education and awareness, family support, and to foster professional development and training for staff at Murdoch Developmental Center.

Murdoch Developmental Center in Butner (MDC), N.C. is the State Developmental Center for North Carolina’s Central region. Murdoch provides services and support to people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD), complex behavioral challenges, and/or medical conditions whose clinical treatment needs exceed the level of care currently available in the community.
