Scholarship Application Process Now Open

Since 2021, the Murdoch Center Foundation has awarded over $25,000 in scholarships, helping countless students pursue their dream of a higher education to work with individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. For the 2025-2026 academic year, MCF will offer up to four $1,500 scholarships. One of these is specifically for Murdoch Center employees aiming to serve people with such disabilities within NC DHHS Developmental Centers. Applicants must have a college/university acceptance letter and be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree with this intent. These scholarships are available to residents of 25 counties in Central North Carolina, including Alamance, Anson, Caswell, Chatham, Davie, Durham, Forsyth, Franklin, Granville, Guilford, Halifax, Harnett, Hoke, Lee, Montgomery, Moore, Orange, Person, Randolph, Richmond, Rockingham, Stokes, Vance, Wake, and Warren.
