Murdoch Center Foundation Scholarship Recipients
The Murdoch Center Foundation is proud to announce this year’s four academic scholarship recipients, each of whom has expressed a strong commitment to serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) through their chosen fields.
Emily Wright
Emily Wright attends Wake Forest University and is studying to become a Physician Assistant. Emily brings valuable experience working with both children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as those on the autism spectrum.
Jacob Bradshaw
Jacob Bradshaw is a student at Elon University, majoring in Biology, Neuroscience, Psychology, and Leadership Studies. Driven by a lifelong passion for helping others, Jacob aspires to pursue a career that allows him to continue making a difference in people’s lives.
Bryant Roberts
Bryant Roberts studies Accounting at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Bryant hopes to apply his financial expertise within a health care setting after graduation.
Aryianna Dockery
Aryianna Dockery, currently enrolled in Practical Nursing at Durham Technical Community College, plans to one day advance her education to become a Registered Nurse. As an employee of Murdoch Center and recipient of the Almekinders Family Scholarship—reserved for Murdoch Center staff—Aryianna is dedicated to continuing her career at Murdoch as a nurse, driven by her passion for supporting the IDD population.
The Murdoch Center Foundation has awarded over $25,000 in scholarships since 2021, supporting numerous students in their pursuit of higher education and their aspirations to work alongside individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
