Murdoch Center Foundation Scholarship Recipients
The Murdoch Center Foundation is proud to announce this year’s academic scholarship recipients, each of whom is a current employee of Murdoch Developmental Center. They have each expressed a strong commitment to serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) through their chosen fields and plan on continuing their careers at the Center.

Tamia Haskins, currently seeking an Associate Degree in Nursing at Piedmont Community College, plans to one day advance her education to become a Registered Nurse. As an Educational Developmental Assistant at Murdoch Center and recipient of the Almekinders Family Scholarship, Tamia is dedicated to continuing her career at Murdoch as a nurse, driven by her passion for supporting the IDD population.

Deana Murrell is a long-time employee of Murdoch Developmental Center and is currently employed as the Community Employment Program Supervisor for Statewide Programs. She is currently enrolled at Fayetteville State University pursuing a degree in Psychology. She hopes to continue her career at Murdoch Center as a Psychologist.
