Special Olympics was recently held at Murdoch Developmental Center. The day was marked by perfect weather conditions, contributing to the overall success and enjoyment of the event. The addition of new concrete pathways, a comfortable seating area, and shade canopies greatly enhanced the experience for all attendees. These improvements made the event more accessible and pleasant for participants and spectators alike.
During lunchtime, the hot dog hut became a hub of activity, serving as a popular spot for staff and participants to gather and enjoy lunch.
The Murdoch Center Foundation extends its congratulations to all participants, acknowledging their hard work and dedication to their respective sports. Local winners from the event will advance to the finals, which are scheduled to take place in Wake County from May 29 to May 31, 2026.
