Recently, the Foundation proudly partnered with the North Carolina Community Foundation (NCCF) to expand financial resources and guarantee lasting support for our mission. This strategic partnership is a significant milestone in ensuring sustained support and growth for our initiatives.
The collaboration with NCCF is designed to facilitate charitable contributions to the Murdoch Center Foundation (MCF) from a diverse group of supporters. Family, friends, and interested parties now have a streamlined avenue to make their donations, thereby fostering a robust network of financial backing for the Foundation’s endeavors.
NCCF offers multiple methods for contributions, ensuring flexibility and convenience for donors. These methods include:
- Cash Donations: Direct monetary contributions are simple and effective.
- Securities: Donations in the form of stocks and bonds provide an excellent way for donors to contribute while potentially benefiting from tax deductions.
- Last Will & Testaments: Planned giving through wills and testaments allows supporters to leave a lasting legacy.
The endowment established through this partnership will yield annual returns, a percentage of which will be redirected back to MCF. This financial mechanism ensures that board members have continual access to funds, thereby enabling them to support the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) effectively.
The funds received annually will empower the Murdoch Developmental Center and its associated programs. This support will not only address immediate needs but also contribute to the long-term sustainability and expansion of services, enhancing the quality of life for individuals with IDD.
